Award-winning journalist Dan Schultz, who until recently co-managed the Aspen, Colorado independent bookstore Explore Booksellers, discusses his new book Dead Run: The Murder of a Lawman and the Greatest Manhunt of the Modern American West. Evoking Jon Krakauer’s Into the Wild, Schultz tells the true story of desperado survivalists, a brutal murder, and vigilante justice set against the harsh backdrop of the Colorado wilderness.

I finally got around to reading this book. It was interesting, but Dan failed to get all the facts straight. He had his theory and he only interviewed people that would support his premise. There were several eye witnesses to these events and Mr. Schultz failed to get their testimonies. Many of his statements were skewed and failed to present the facts. I guess if the story is sensationalized more people will buy the book.
